Is MBBS from Georgia recognised in India?
Yes. All our partner universities — Tbilisi Medical Academy (TMA), TSMU, GAU, KWIU, University of Georgia and Alte University — are recognised by the NMC India, WHO, ECFMG and FAIMER. After MBBS, you can appear for the FMGE / NEXT exam and register as a practicing doctor in India.
Is NEET mandatory for MBBS admission in Georgia?
NEET is not mandatory for admission into Georgian universities. However, per NMC guidelines, NEET qualification is required for Indian students who wish to practice in India after graduation.
Do I need IELTS or TOEFL?
No. The medium of instruction at all our partner universities is 100% English, and IELTS/TOEFL is not required for admission.
What is the total cost of MBBS in Georgia?
Annual MBBS tuition ranges from $5,500 to $8,000 depending on the university. At Tbilisi State Medical University, the EU curriculum is $8,000/year and the US MD curriculum is $13,500/year. Total MBBS tuition in Georgia ranges from approximately $33,000 – $94,500 depending on curriculum and university.
What's the difference between TSMU, TMA, GAU, KWIU, UoG and Alte University?
TSMU is the largest public medical university in Georgia — the gold standard. TMA (est. 1992) is a top private university with WFME alignment. GAU blends Georgian and American education models. KWIU is partnered with Emory University (USA) and ideal for USMLE pathway students. UoG is a modern private university in Tbilisi with strong practical focus. Can I practice as a doctor in India after MBBS from Georgia?
Yes. You need to clear the FMGE (Foreign Medical Graduate Exam) or the new NEXT to register with the NMC and practice in India. Our universities prepare you well — TSMU and TMA have high FMGE pass rates.
What's the eligibility for MBBS abroad?
You must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology (minimum 50% aggregate; 40% for reserved categories), be at least 17 years old at time of admission, and have qualified NEET (for India practice purposes). A valid passport is required.
What about MBBS in Czech Republic and Poland?
We offer admissions at University of Ostrava in Czech Republic (~$10,500/year) and University of Warmia & Mazury, Olsztyn in Poland (~€12,000/year). Both are public European universities with English-medium 6-year MD programs, EU-recognised degrees and Schengen-area exposure.
When does the admission process begin?
Our main intakes are in September (Fall) and February (Spring). We recommend starting your application at least 3–4 months in advance for documentation, visa processing and travel arrangements.
Do you provide visa assistance?
Absolutely — end-to-end. We help with document preparation, embassy appointments, interview coaching, visa application and pre-departure briefing. Our visa success rate is approximately 98%.
Is Indian food available? What about hostel and safety?
Yes — Indian food is easily available at campus messes and nearby restaurants. Hostels are arranged by the university, with shared and private room options. Georgia is generally very safe for international students — crime rates are among the lowest in Europe, and the culture is warm toward Indians.
Can I get an education loan for MBBS in Georgia?

What if I don't qualify NEET this year?
You can still secure your university admission for 2026 intake while preparing for NEET in parallel. Many students appear for NEET during their first year of MBBS abroad. We'll guide you on the best timeline.
